Mystical Ireland
Crow Portals, Forgotten Ruins, and Water Priestess Energy
The week that I spent in the Wicklow mountains was without a car. Which meant I walked the reservoirs each day. It was the perfect experience for me to soften into. Connecting with the water that feeds such a huge part of Ireland. The perfect place for a water priestess to be.
As a cancer sun and one who walks a path in deep reverence for all of our emotions (not just the “good” ones), I spent this week open to receive the wisdom and information that was needed for my next step.
I spent time with the crows, and walked through what felt like a crow portal to me. Crows hold the medicine of transformation, integrity, and intuition. They help bridge the realms from one version of ourself to another. That felt appropriate for this leg of the journey.
Sound on for this video so you get the full immersion.
I found some nettle and started bringing that energy into my body once again. I could feel she was calling for that nourishment. Nettle is a highly powerful plant ally who is a regular part of my health and wellness ritual. Always in the spring I use her to help rebalance my system. She has strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties as well as being packed with iron. Her uses for various women’s health issues is also well known. Most recently I also realized that she is helpful with energetic boundaries, transformation, and resilience. I am spending so much time this trip on my own once again I can see why her medicine is so needed.
One morning I felt called to visit some ruins that were nearby. As is often the case in Ireland ruins are on property that is being used for farming. I am so grateful that the laws are different in Europe although I always feel a bit like I’m trespassing.
It was early morning which meant I had the gift of running into a few wild animals. One was a four legged something down by the water…..I couldn’t quite make out what it was. The other was a fox who took off when he realized I was coming his way. Lastly after finding the ruins - as I was feeling that energy I saw a deer in the midst of the thicket. It felt like such beautiful confirmation for me that I was meant to be in this space at this exact time.
You can’t actually see any ruins as the land has taken over what once stood - but for me the energy was significant. This video gives you a glimpse into that world.
I’m sharing a few additional pictures from this part of the travels. Moments walking around the reservoirs. Being present with the land and the water.

One of the things that I did while I was there was make a decision that I can no longer walk past garbage people leave and not pick it up. Obviously I can’t clean up everything but my mission moving forward is that any natural space I am in - when there is garbage I will pick up at least three pieces. In most cases this means I am carrying the garbage for quite a ways but that is a small price to pay to honour the land, water and the creatures that share these divine spaces with us.
This is a small step I can take that will have real impact and I’d love to invite you to join me on this endeavor.
Let me know in the comments if you are willing.

Love this, your travels, your awareness...and YASSSSS to being the change in this earth and picking up garbage.
